Currie & Brown appoints Ronald Chan as Head of Sustainability for APAC

Currie & Brown, a world-leading project management, cost management and advisory services firm, has appointed Ronald Chan as its new Head of Sustainability for APAC, based in Hong Kong.

Ronald is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and strategic ESG and decarbonisation advisor. He has more than 17 years of experience shaping the property, infrastructure, and aviation sectors.

Ronald’s notable projects include 22 Bishopsgate (BREEAM Excellent) and The Featherstone Building (dual BREEAM Outstanding & LEED Platinum) in the UK. Ronald also led LEED Gold certification for Capital Group at Paddington Square. In Germany, Ronald drove the first-ever BREEAM Communities Excellent rating for HafenCity’s Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, setting new standards in sustainable masterplanning.

At Currie & Brown, Ronald will lead the regional sustainability strategy, strengthening ESG initiatives, and embedding responsible business practices across APAC operations.

“Sustainability is rapidly reshaping investment decisions across APAC,” says Ronald Chan. “I’m delighted to join Currie & Brown to help clients deliver resilient, low-carbon assets that turn ESG ambition into long-term value.”

“Across APAC, regulatory expectations, decarbonisation commitments and investor scrutiny around ESG performance are increasing. Ronald’s expertise will be invaluable in helping our clients navigate these evolving demands. His passion for sustainable transformation will strengthen the support we provide and help create long-term value for our clients,” said Rex Lai, APAC Chief Operating Officer.
