Currie & Brown named as supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s Estate Management Services 2 framework
Helping the public sector manage PFI expiry and plan for future PPPs
Currie & Brown has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) new RM6343 Estate Management Services 2 framework. This pre-established procurement agreement helps public sector organisations access our expert support quickly, easily and in line with procurement rules.
We have been named on four key lots, including those covering surveying, technical, commercial and strategic services for public-private partnerships (PPPs). This enables us to act as a partner to decision makers as they navigate complex estates and infrastructure challenges.
Helping clients make the right decisions, at the right time
The Estate Management Services 2 framework responds to rising demand for expert support as PFI and PPP contracts approach expiry. More than 665 contracts are set to end by 2048, including 26 healthcare projects in the next seven years.
At the same time, new public-private partnership models are being introduced. The Budget announced plans for 250 Neighbourhood Health Centres, with 120 due by 2030. A new PPP model will play a key role in delivering a large portion of these.
The new framework helps public sector organisations find the right expertise to meet a wide range of needs, depending on where they are in the lifecycle of their estates.
Why we were selected
We were chosen for our technical strength, sector experience, and ability to support clients at every stage of a PPP contract. From day one through to expiry and beyond, we provide strategic advice and detailed insight.
We have been appointed to the following lots:
- Lot 4: Surveying and Strategic Advice
- Lot 8a: PFI Technical and Strategic Advice Services
- Lot 8c: PFI Surveying Services
- Lot 8d: PFI Specialist Commercial and Financial Advice
Our appointment reflects our ability to:
- Manage PFI expiry and transition, not just hand back
- Provide clear insights from complex data to support smart decision-making
- Mobilise quickly where appropriate, using Award without Competition (AWoC)
- Offer certainty around governance and compliance, helping clients meet high standards and scrutiny
A partner for a changing landscape
Nick Gray, Chief Operating Officer, UK & Europe at Currie & Brown, said:
“We are entering a pivotal phase for public infrastructure. As existing contracts end, organisations need practical support to manage handback well. But they also need to plan ahead, as new partnership models start to emerge.”
“This is not just a technical process. It is about understanding the bigger picture — how each asset supports the owner’s long-term objectives, what those clients need from their assets, and how vital service continuity is maintained.”
