David Broomer

David Broomer

Group Chairman

David has been with Currie & Brown since 1970. He became a full partner in 1980, and in October 2008 he became the chairman of the board.

In 1999, following the restructuring of Currie & Brown, David became group managing director. As managing partner and managing director of the business, David masterminded the cessation of trading within the partnership and the subsequent transfer of the business to a corporate entity on 31 March 2002. At that time he became chief executive and has since taken on many roles within the business, including group commercial director and company secretary, prior to becoming group chairman.

Euan McEwan

Euan McEwan

Group Chief Executive Officer

Euan McEwan is group chief executive officer of Currie & Brown. He has extensive experience in the real estate, construction and management consultancy sectors.

Prior to joining Currie & Brown, Euan was executive director of AWG plc, where he was responsible for the real estate, PFI/PPP and infrastructure management businesses. He has also been an executive director of Carillion plc where he set up and ran the PFI/PPP and support services businesses. He has also held senior management positions with Tarmac Construction Ltd, Tarmac Properties Ltd and Coopers & Lybrand real estate and construction management consultancy group.

Euan is a qualified chartered accountant and has a BSc in civil engineering. He is also a certified member of the Institute of Management Consultants and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).

Ian Fleming

Ian Fleming

Group Finance Director

Ian Fleming joined Currie & Brown as group finance director in April 2004. After obtaining a master’s degree in physics at Oxford, Ian qualified as a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, while training with Arthur Andersen. Ian has worked as finance director with a number of large listed international companies during his career to date, concentrating on the sectors of construction, support services, property and manufacturing. He was also a non-executive director of Baggeridge Brick plc until its successful sale in late 2008.
