Graduate programme in the United Arab Emirates

Graduate training programme in cost management/quantity surveying

Currie & Brown recruits fresh graduates and recent graduates to join our industry-leading assessment of professional competence (APC) programme, successful completion of which leads to the designation MRICS.

Successful applicants will have an RICS-accredited degree, strong numeracy and literacy skills, the ability to foster relationships with professionals at all levels and a willingness to travel. They will also enjoy analysing and solving problems and be able to manage their time and organise themselves and their workload.

Our rigorous and challenging structured training programme provides for continuous and progressive training, typically over a two-year period. The programme is designed to ensure that our successful candidates are trained to the highest standard in the industry.

We set high standards for our graduate trainees, expecting them to spend on average 12 hours a week on independent APC work outside office hours. In return, we offer mentorship from a senior colleague, regular training sessions with an external APC coach and in-house CPD sessions on a range of competencies. Candidates undergo quarterly assessments to ensure that they are progressing on the programme. After each assessment they receive feedback on their performance, and learning objectives for the next assessment are agreed.

As well as providing technical support, we also offer training in soft skills to boost self-confidence and to prepare candidates for the RICS final assessment.

On successful completion of the APC, our newly qualified chartered surveyors join a post-APC scheme which is designed to generate the next group of leaders in the business. This offers opportunities ranging from international placements to involvement in the company’s key account management programme and the chance to lead major projects.

The programme is only suitable for highly motivated and committed graduates who are not afraid of hard work. Successful candidates are rewarded with a great sense of job satisfaction, fulfilling work and excellent career prospects. All candidates on the APC programme have their salaries reviewed twice a year.
