Currie & Brown is currently looking for a director for our mid-west region who meets the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical and/or business discipline
  • A minimum of 15 years' construction management experience, including ten years in a managerial role
  • Experience with the execution of relevant projects and programs
  • Strong management, organizational and communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with a dedication to developing lasting client partnerships (internally and externally) and to maximizing employee engagement
  • An energetic and enthusiastic coach and mentor driven by diverse and challenging projects, with an ability to recognize and develop talent
  • Comfortable with corporate structure and the associated administrative and reporting requirements
  • Knowledge and experience with execution of projects and programs within the planning, engineering and construction management business
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Agile and responsive to changing demands
  • Proven track record of growth and business management

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Managing the operation of the respective region
  • Delivering profit and revenue targets by maximizing staff productivity
  • Delivering the regional growth plan
  • Promoting and selling the services of Currie & Brown Inc
  • Ensuring the wellbeing of the staff resource
  • Delivering the annual budget
  • Leading the regional management team
  • Promoting and organising training to develop staff to meet growth plan
  • Undertaking responsibility for employee coaching and development for succession planning
  • Assisting with staff recruitment to deliver commissions and grow the business in line with the regional plan
  • Working and coordinating with other regional managers to ensure that the consistent, cost effective and efficient utilization of Currie & Brown resources is achieved across the company
  • Ensuring timely billing of clients and assisting in collecting invoiced amounts
  • Proposing bonus allocation and salary reviews
  • Managing client relationships within the region
  • Empowering the regional management team to build and develop client relationships
  • Ensuring the financial planning, control and reporting
  • Submitting regular reports as directed by the management board of Currie & Brown Inc
