Jessica Snell Project Manager, Australia

Jessica Snell

I have been working for Currie & Brown in their Melbourne office since 2013. Initially, I studied for a master’s degree in architecture before moving across to the project management sector.

My role as a project manager involves consulting within the Australian defence sector in a client-side position. Major tasks that I am responsible for include managing stakeholders, budget and scheduling in order to produce fit-for-purpose facilities that provide excellent value for money.

Currie & Brown has a strong and growing presence within the defence sector in Australia. This is allowing me to play a pivotal role in projects which will support the ongoing training of all Air Force, Navy and Army pilots, managing facilities and infrastructure across four states. Constant interaction with different stakeholders and teams keeps my job varied.

My favourite part of the job is articulating and facilitating user requirements in initial meetings, the design stage and the finished product. There is a real sense of personal and professional achievement in this process, particularly in a fast-paced and complex sector such as defence.
