Currie & Brown strengthens its Cambridge office with five new senior appointments

Currie & Brown has strengthened its service offering in the Cambridge area with the appointment of five new leading industry positions to join the team.

Aki Tserpelis, director of project management and Cambridge office lead, launched a building surveying service to expand the Currie & Brown Cambridge regional offer, adding value and expertise to its clients and growing our position in the market.

Phillip Amos joins Currie & Brown from Aecom and will lead the University of Cambridge’s £300 million Cavendish III project. Phillip will bring over 30 years’ experience in project and technical management across multiple sectors to deliver the scheme to a high specification from concept through to completion, on time and budget.

Jonathan Banks, senior building surveyor, has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, having worked across multiple sectors including defence, heritage, healthcare, pharmaceutical, education, government, commercial and private equity professional building surveying work. He recently led the project management of a military programme which involved the refurbishment of twenty buildings, including an armoury and ammunition store, and the construction of two new buildings. As well as extensive experience working in the NHS, James has worked on historic buildings such as the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and Canterbury Cathedral.

Bringing over 10 years’ cost management experience, Daria Reznikova joins the Currie & Brown Cambridge office as senior cost consultant, providing cost and commercial management services on multiple projects from inception to completion. She is familiar with pharmaceutical and life sciences project requirements and laboratory environments working for global clients such as GSK and AstraZeneca. Daria is driven to build effective working relationships with clients and provide them with exceptional added value service.

James Ballantyne, associate project manager, brings over 35 years’ experience as a site engineer and project manager to the table. He has an impressive client portfolio working for tier 1 contractors and embedded within facilities management teams. Key projects include mountaintop radar sites in the Falklands, a critical data centre for National Grid, a series of 102 data centres for British Telecom and programme management of all construction projects on the Driver Vehicle Standard Agency estate.
