Currie & Brown announces changes in the senior management team of its US operation.
Greg Ayres is moving from his role as president and chief operating officer of the US business to head up special projects for the Currie & Brown group. Greg explained: "In my new role I will be involved in special projects across Currie & Brown internationally, not just in the USA. I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead in helping to deliver Currie & Brown’s strategy for growth."
Greg is being replaced by Paul Wood, who joins Currie & Brown from Faithful + Gould where he was president of their USA company. Commenting on his appointment, Paul said: "I am delighted to join the Currie & Brown business and I believe we are strongly positioned for growth in this market. I was attracted to the group by their ambition to expand their worldwide footprint with a particular interest in the US market, and I look forward to helping Currie & Brown to realise this ambition."
Mark Salmon, who has been with Currie & Brown for nine years in the Middle East where he successfully grew the Qatar business, also joins the US business as head of East Coast operations. Talking about his new role, Mark said: "It is an interesting time to be joining Currie & Brown in the US. I am looking forward to meeting the teams and being part of the growth plans for the US."
Welcoming the new appointments, Euan McEwan, Currie & Brown’s group chief executive officer, said: "I am looking forward to working with Greg on special projects and am delighted that we have found an excellent replacement for Greg in Paul, who brings a wealth of relevant experience. Mark has earned a reputation for excellent client service in the Middle East, and I am sure he will soon be held in the same high regard by our US clients. These changes strengthen the Currie & Brown group in general and the US business in particular."
