Currie & Brown commissioned on regimental museum redevelopment

Currie & Brown has been appointed to provide project management and quantity surveying services on the redevelopment of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Museum in Stirling, Scotland.

Set within a world-class heritage site at Stirling Castle, the museum acts as a lasting tribute to those who served in the regiment and as a means of generating funds to support the work of the museum trust, which includes community engagement and contributing to the support of veterans.

Currie & Brown will provide cost control and quantity surveying support on the project as well as overseeing the co-ordination of non-construction elements such as interpretation and design.

George Webb, project director in Currie & Brown's Glasgow office, commented: "The museum's collections act as a lasting tribute to those who served in the regiment, and are an important educational resource both for the local community and for visitors.

"The redevelopment project will conserve this important piece of military heritage for future generations, but perhaps more importantly, will tell the story of the regiment in the context of its roots in Scotland’s social history."
