Transformation of retail and leisure park begins in Swansea

Work has now commenced on the redevelopment of the Parc Tawe retail and leisure park in Swansea, South Wales.

Currie & Brown is providing cost consultancy services on the scheme, which is being led by property development experts Hammerson. The planned overhaul will completely transform the park, providing over 18,500m2 of contemporary new shops and restaurants to sit alongside the existing cinema, bowling alley and Plantasia, a large public hothouse.

The redevelopment includes a sustainable ‘zero energy’ drive-through coffee shop, new open public areas and living green walls.

Councillor Rob Stewart, Swansea Council Leader, noted: "This scheme will breathe new life into this vital part of the city centre and improve the appearance of a key gateway in and out of Swansea."
