The Marlowes Health and Wellbeing Centre to open

The Marlowes Health and Wellbeing Centre in Hemel Hempstead will be officially opened today by The Rt. Hon Sir Mike Penning. Currie & Brown provided programme and project management expertise on the project, supporting Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) and Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) to move services from six sites to one shared facility.

The project involved refurbishing 39 - 41 The Marlowes to create a healthcare hub, which provides a combination of mental and physical health services for the local community.

The new facility provides over 20 services for children, adults and older people across four floors of the building. It has been developed by the two NHS trusts as part of their plans to co-locate and integrate services. As well as improving services, this will achieve best value for money from their estate footprint.

Fabia Holt, senior consultant at Currie & Brown, said: “The Marlowes Health and Wellbeing Centre will provide a variety of services which will greatly benefit the local community. We are proud to have played our role in creating a modern environment that is both welcoming for patients and service users and also pleasant for staff to work in.”
