17 September 2019
Corserv has appointed Currie & Brown to deliver building surveying services to support Cornwall Housing’s acquisition programme. Corserv is a diverse group of Cornwall Council-owned businesses, including Cornwall Housing.
Cornwall Housing is engaged in a programme of residential property acquisition, with a purchase goal of 250 residential properties in Cornwall. Under the programme, Currie & Brown will provide Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) approved residential property surveys. These include the RICS homebuyers’ report, the RICS condition survey and the RICS building survey.
Commenting on the appointment, Ky Cheal, associate director at Currie & Brown said, “We are delighted to be working closely with Corserv to help provide more residential housing for the people of Cornwall. Programmes such as this will help ease the demand for housing across Cornwall.”
Nick Cross, Cornwall Housing’s managing director said, “The need for affordable housing is on the rise. As the main social housing provider across Cornwall we will be adding 250 homes in locations where there is real need over the next four years. Expanding the supply and our management of good quality, affordable accommodation will further ensure the residents of Cornwall can build independent lives in the place they love.”
