Currie & Brown to provide cost management support for new arts, community and entertainment venue in Fareham
24 July 2019
Fareham Borough Council has appointed Currie & Brown to provide cost planning, cost management and cost control services on an arts, community and entertainment venue in Fareham town centre.
The council has announced its vision for the redevelopment of Ferneham Hall, to create a new arts, community and entertainment facility. The remodelling of the venue, which will include the demolition of the Octagon lounge, will increase the capacity of the auditorium, creating an upgraded venue to attract a new calibre of performing artists as well as providing new community facilities, enhancing the building’s external appearance and improving access within the venue.
Under the plans, there will be upgraded audience facilities, including catering areas and toilets, which will improve the overall experience for visitors to the venue.
Commenting on the appointment Mark Hampton, associate at Currie & Brown, said: “Currie & Brown is proud to be working closely with Fareham Borough Council to provide a new venue that will be warm, welcoming and complementary to the council’s wider vision for the Civic Quarter of the town. The new venue will improve the overall experience for visitors and will allow daytime and evening activities to take place seven days a week.”
