Currie & Brown to provide project management services on NHS Grampian project

NHS Grampian has appointed Currie & Brown to provide project management services for its major acute services (elective care) project.

The project involves the development of an elective care centre at the Foresterhill campus at the University of Aberdeen. The health board’s vision for elective care is to deliver treatment and care as close to home as possible through the application of best practice, innovation and digital technology. The development of the new centre will involve a combination of refurbished existing accommodation and a new-build.

The new elective care centre will provide fit-for-purpose accommodation including a day surgery and endoscopy suite, MRI and CT imaging accommodation and ambulatory/outpatient accommodation for a range of specialities including respiratory medicine, dermatology and urology.

Commenting on the appointment Fiona McDade, director at Currie & Brown, explained: “The new elective care centre for NHS Grampian will provide purpose-designed facilities promoting efficiency and the best patient experience possible. This appointment adds to Currie & Brown’s strong healthcare experience and we look forward to building on our existing relationship with NHS Grampian to deliver the elective care centre.”
