LCR elects Currie & Brown to QS panel

Currie & Brown has been appointed to LCR’s quantity surveying panel, and will advise on cost planning and feasibility to help bring forward a series of key development projects across the UK.

The panel is comprised of four consultants, and forms part of LCR’s strategy of unlocking strategic sites for development, and delivering regeneration to help create new homes, jobs and investment.

LCR is a skilled commercial developer and the UK government’s placemaking expert, with a 20-year track record of delivering major transport-linked regeneration schemes. Major projects include the delivery of the £2.4 billion International Quarter London scheme in Stratford, in a joint venture with Lendlease, and Waterloo.London, a new 135,000 ft2 retail and leisure destination at the former Eurostar terminal.

Nationally, LCR is working with local authorities to bring forward development around stations across the country, work which will be supported by Currie & Brown as part of the panel.

Commenting on the appointment, Howard Johnson, director at Currie & Brown, said: “We are delighted to have been selected as a cost planning advisor to LCR in this significant government programme to develop public land for housing. Currie & Brown has developed comprehensive residential cost modelling software tools, which, combined with our in-house infrastructure expertise, will allow us to provide prompt and accurate cost advice to LCR.”
