Work begins on site at University of Strathclyde’s learning and teaching building

Work has begun on site at the University of Strathclyde’s learning and teaching building. Currie & Brown has been appointed to provide cost management services on the new-build project alongside architects BDP, which is due to be completed in 2020.

The new building will be located at the university’s John Anderson campus and will be a one-stop-shop for student support services and the students’ union. It brings together the former Architecture and Colville buildings and will place student-facing services at the heart of the campus.

Colin Caruthers, director at Currie & Brown, commented: “We are delighted to be appointed to work on this new learning and teaching building, which will provide leading-edge teaching facilities and will allow the university to meet the needs of its growing student population.”
