Currie & Brown appointed on the refurbishment of the Sunworld Dynasty Hotel in Taipei

Currie & Brown’s team in Taiwan has been engaged to provide cost and project management on the refurbishment of the Sunworld Dynasty Hotel.

Situated in the business district of Taipei, the 16-storey, renowned Sunworld Dynasty Hotel is undergoing a full renovation. Kevin Sung, senior cost consultant in Currie & Brown’s Taipei office, has been appointed as project director on site, overseeing the hotel’s refurbishment, as it upgrades the last stage of the total 730 guest rooms and suites. The refurbishment also includes the canopy, lobby and associated sports and banquet venues.

Local contractors will support the project on fit-out, mechanical, plumbing and electrical works, audio-visual facilities and fire protection, while specialist contractors have been hired for the health club and canopy.

All renovations are expected to be complete by July 2021.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Lee, Currie & Brown’s Taiwan managing director, said: “Staff in the Taipei office are looking forward to working on this prestigious renovation project. Our expertise in cost, quality, scheduling and procurement services will allow the hotel to remain fully operational throughout the refurbishment.”
