Currie & Brown wins third framework appointment with University of Birmingham
23 March 2020
As part of Currie & Brown’s ongoing relationship with the University of Birmingham, Currie & Brown is pleased to announce its third consecutive framework appointment with the university, on the Build Higher Construction framework.
Having successfully delivered the award-winning Main Library and the Green Heart project as part of previous work with the university, Currie & Brown is building upon and strengthening our role as cost manager for the next phase of the university’s capital plan. Currie & Brown’s added value services included the successful deployment of Currie & Brown Aero at the Lucas House refurbishment, to provide modern drone digital surveying techniques.
The University of Birmingham’s director of estates, Trevor Payne, said: “We have an ambitious plan for the future of our campus and our objective is to create the best possible environment in which our students can achieve, and our academic colleagues can undertake, world-leading research. The creation of our own construction framework is a natural next step, as we look to secure the support of the very best in the industry.”
Jason Scott, director in our Birmingham office, commented: “The Build Higher Construction framework will allow Currie & Brown to further develop our relationship with the University of Birmingham, and we welcome the opportunity to be part of the continued development of this prestigious campus.”
