Parade College appoints Currie & Brown on arts centre

Currie & Brown’s Melbourne office is providing project management and quantity surveying services on the construction of a new arts centre at Parade College’s Bundoora campus.

Designed by ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, the project comprises the construction of a new 883m2 black box drama rehearsal studio and a 396m2 extension to the current music school. Situated in a tight location in a fully operational school, the project also includes all associated external infrastructure.

Currie & Brown is providing project management services from the tender and contract documentation stage through to construction and final defect liability period. The quantity surveying team will review monthly progress claims and negotiate variations.

Mike Cox, director in Currie & Brown’s Melbourne office, commented: “The team will be able to draw on their expertise in working in challenging conditions to deliver the project on time, with minimal impact on the school’s day-to-day operations.”
