9 December 2021
Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has appointed Currie & Brown on lots one and four of its Construction Professional Services framework.
The Construction Professional Services framework enables lead advisor appointments covering multidisciplinary consultancy services across core disciplines such as project manager, cost consultant, health and safety advisor, BIM/digital information manager and building surveying services.
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04 billion – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
Currie & Brown has been appointed to lot one, covering the built environment and general infrastructure, and lot four, covering all high-rise projects.
Neil Brierley, regional managing director for England and Wales and framework lead, commented: “We are very pleased to have secured places on lots one and four of Crown Commercial Service’s latest Construction Professional Services framework, the principal procurement vehicle for all central government departments and other UK public sector bodies.
“The framework will deliver projects in an environment of transparency, collaboration and with a focus on continuous improvement, all aimed at delivering excellent project outcomes and greater value for money for the taxpayer. Furthermore, there will be a focus on delivering the recommendations of key industry initiatives such as The Construction Playbook. We and our supply chain look forward to working with clients to deliver great projects that enhance the country’s public estate and infrastructure.”
