Currie & Brown appointed to new learning campus in Neilston
4 February 2021
Currie & Brown is leading a full multidisciplinary team, providing project and cost management, principal designer and clerk of works services to East Renfrewshire Council for the construction of a new learning campus in Neilston, Scotland.
The Neilston village masterplan has been divided into two phases. In phase one St Thomas’ and Neilston primary schools, the village library and the Madras Family Centre will come together in one centralised learning campus. This is envisaged to be a catalyst for the long-term strategic development and regeneration of the village in phase two.
As project lead, Currie & Brown will be working closely with BDP, the international practice of architects, designers, engineers and urbanists; Blyth & Blyth, consulting engineers; and the technical services company, TÜV-SÜD.
The new campus is programmed to be operational by 2023.
Robbie Smith, Scotland’s project management lead director, remarked: “Currie & Brown has successfully delivered an impressive number of education facilities in Scotland, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to this new learning campus in Neilston, bringing together the local learning facilities under one roof.”
