5 May 2021
Transport for London (TfL) has extended Currie & Brown’s contract to provide quantity surveying services on its surface transport portfolio.
For the past two years, Currie & Brown has been supporting TfL with estimating services for its surface transport. This portfolio has been expanded to now include London Rail, London Overground, Docklands Light Rail and London Trams, and Currie & Brown has recently been awarded two commissions, one extending our existing team, the other within the new London Rail section of the portfolio.
Our role encompasses a wide range of asset renewals and enhancements on major transport infrastructure programmes and includes liaising with stakeholders, ascertaining and advising on requirements, planning workload, managing teams, leading the production of estimates, reviewing estimates and using our knowledge of construction techniques and the delivery of projects to produce robust estimates, greater cost certainty and better value for money for our client.
Steve Parker, director in Currie & Brown’s London office, commented: “We have a proven track record of working on this portfolio, and we are delighted that our commission to work with surface transport has been extended.”
