Currie & Brown signs Building a Safer Future Charter
20 April 2021
Currie & Brown is pleased to announce that the company is a registered signatory of the Building a Safer Future Charter.
Currie & Brown recognises that becoming a registered signatory is an important first step towards achieving the culture and behavioural change required in relation to the charter's objectives around building safety. In confirming our support as a registered signatory, we will now be working to ensure that we embed the principles of the charter into our organisation’s activities.
The Building a Safer Future Charter has been created to promote an urgent and positive culture and behaviour change in the safety of the built environment. It is about putting people’s safety first in how we plan for, design, build, maintain and look after the safety of the buildings we live, work or play in and protect those that use them.
Alan Manuel, chief operating officer for the UK and Europe at Currie & Brown, commented: “By signing up to the Building a Safer Future Charter, we are committing to support the change in cultures and behaviours needed in the construction industry. We fully intend to uphold the five charter commitments, implementing them across our UK business.”
