Phase two of Assembly Bristol underway
12 August 2021
Further to our provision of wide-ranging cost consulting services on the recently completed Assembly Building A project, Currie & Brown is providing cost consultancy and CDM-advisor services to AXA Investment Managers and Bell Hammer on phase 2 of the Assembly development in Bristol, known as Building C.
The Assembly development is on the waterside in the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone in central Bristol, one of the UK’s largest urban regeneration areas. It is part of a well-connected urban district, designed to appeal to businesses and their people.
The completed development will comprise Grade A office space with large opening windows, balconies, extensive waterfront area, landscaped roof terrace with a wildflower meadow and pontoon harbour walkway.
Scheduled for completion in 2023, the 92,000ft2 Building C offers 14 storeys of highly sustainable office space overlooking a new waterfront park. Comprising a clubhouse with shared roof terrace and balconies on every floor, all buildings on site will be WELL-enabled and are designed with the aim of achieving BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and Platinum Wiredscore ratings.
The scheme, designed by architects AHMM, incorporates public realm into the heart of the plan, with public waterside and open spaces. Rooftop gardens and a mix of indoor and outdoor amenities support a focus on occupier wellbeing.
Pedestrian links to Bristol city centre, the Floating Harbour and Temple Meads Station have also been improved.
Craig Short, director in Currie & Brown’s Bristol office, commented: “We are delighted to be providing cost consultancy and CDM-advisor services on Assembly Building C which is now under construction, following agreement of contracts with Galliford Try to deliver phase two of the masterplan. With its riverside setting, stunning outdoor spaces and indoor amenities, Assembly is set to become a thriving destination with a real focus on improving staff wellbeing, futureproofing and sustainability.”
