Currie & Brown extends project portfolio with Vita Group

Currie & Brown has been engaged by Vita Group to work on two new developments in Manchester’s newest city neighbourhood, St John’s.

Union T1 comprises 390 co-living apartments, designed to cater to young professionals and key workers. The building brings together a range of amenities and commercial space in one 32-storey building.

The second development, Union T2, will see 372 new riverside apartments delivered across 36 storeys in a mixed-use building. Both developments aim to create independent communities designed around the needs of young urban professionals and key workers while a portion of the apartments will be offered at below market rent to address the issue of affordability.

Currie & Brown’s previous projects with Vita Group include clerk of works and technical advisory services on three developments across Manchester and Salford. Circle Square comprises two buildings providing 683 high-quality apartments with ground floor retail space. Affinity Living Riverside and Riverview offer 178 and 334 apartments respectively, both within walking distance of Salford Central station.

Howard Johnson, director in Currie & Brown’s Manchester office, commented: “Following the successful delivery of the Riverside, Riverview and Circle Square developments in Manchester, Currie & Brown continues to grow our relationship with Vita Group. We have struck up an excellent working relationship with Vita, which enables our teams to work collaboratively to deliver these landmark city centre projects to the highest quality standards.”
