Currie & Brown has promoted key senior people in its Middle East business.
Based across the UAE, Craig Finlayson, Craig McInnes and Jamie Kirkwood have been promoted to senior director from their previous positions as directors. Ritchie Davidson, director in Currie & Brown’s Dubai office, will now lead the UAE’s pre-contract cost management offering.
Craig M joined Currie & Brown’s Glasgow office straight out of university in 2000 and has been with the company ever since. Craig now leads the Abu Dhabi office. Both Craig F and Jamie have been with the company for approaching 15 years and all three have been key to developing the Middle East business, securing appointments to significant projects across the region and developing lasting partnerships with high-profile clients.
In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, James Irvine has also been promoted to senior director from his role as director. Initially appointed in Currie & Brown’s Doha office eight years ago, James has been instrumental in taking the Saudi Arabian business from strength to strength, and the team continues to win and retain work on some of the biggest projects in the kingdom, while continuing to support Saudi’s Vision 2030 and Saudization scheme.
Associate directors Pauric McGettigan in Dubai and Francisco Batista in Riyadh have both been promoted to director. The promotions recognise their hard work supporting the continuing growth of Currie & Brown in the Middle East.
Doug McGillivray, regional managing director for the Southern Gulf, commented: “I am delighted for our team members who have been with us for many years, some since university. Internal promotion is a key foundation of our MENA business and ensures our stability, continuity and succession plan. I look forward to watching the team’s journey and progression continue as we all continue to focus on client satisfaction in our service delivery.”
Simon Andrews, chief operating officer for the Middle East region, added: “We are pleased to develop our management structure in-house to support our continued growth across the region and expansion into project management services. These promotions are well deserved and recognise more than 60 years of continued hard work in the Middle East.”
