Currie & Brown wins contract for Finsbury Circus commercial refurb

City of London Corporation has awarded Currie & Brown’s London office the contract to provide project management and employer’s agent services on a refurbishment project at 23 Finsbury Circus.

The project, designed by GPAD, will see the Grade 2-listed five-storey office building refurbished to Cat A standard, with full replacement of services to reduce running costs; retention and refurbishment of central circulation core and toilet facilities; reconfiguration of ground-floor reception and retail units; and works to the basement to include end-of-journey facilities.

With a target of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, WiredScore Gold certification and EPC B rating, the scheme aims to improve the quality, marketability and sustainability of the building, as well as reducing carbon emissions.

Currie & Brown has been appointed by the City of London Corporation to provide project management and employer’s agent services alongside Aecom as structural engineer, Stace as quantity surveyor and BDP as MEP engineer and BREEAM assessor. The project is expected to start on site in September 2023, with a proposed completion date of late 2024.
