Currie & Brown joins forces with UK Government and Peru Ministry of Health to deliver the next generation of hospitals in Peru
22 August 2024
Currie & Brown, a world-leading provider of cost management, project management, and advisory services, is honoured to join forces with AECOM and Gleeds to create the UK Healthcare Alliance (UKHA). This partnership will implement a Government-to-Government (G2G) agreement with the UK Government and the Peruvian Ministry of Health (MINSA), known as PRONIS, to deliver the next generation of hospitals in Piura and Trujillo.
Under the G2G agreement, PRONIS is committed to delivering international-standard healthcare facilities and expanding medical service access for millions in northern Peru. Nearly £500 million has been allocated for the construction of the Piura and Trujillo hospitals, reducing the need for patients to seek specialised care outside the region. The UKHA will manage the delivery of these hospitals and bring advanced healthcare services to Piura and Trujillo. Through knowledge transfer programmes, the UKHA will also upskill the local workforce. Expected to be operational by late 2028, these hospitals will significantly enhance the quality of life for surrounding communities.
