Currie & Brown reappointed to V&A Museum’s Cost Management Framework
5 June 2024
Currie & Brown, a leading provider of cost management, project management, and advisory services, has been appointed to the prestigious V&A Museum’s cost management framework in London.
The three-year framework will enable the V&A Museum, the world's leading museum of art and design, to continue to achieve its Capital projects through the ambitious FuturePlan programme - the museum's multi-phase programme aimed at transforming how visitors experience the museum's vast collections, and a schedule of temporary exhibitions.
Robust cost management will be critical to ensure key projects are delivered on time and on budget. Currie & Brown will draw on its extensive experience of working in occupied historic buildings. By prioritising design objectives and supporting informed early-stage decisions, we ensure maximum value realisation for our client’s investments.
This includes the refurbishment of the V&A Photography Centre at the V&A Museum South Kensington. The project was awarded the 2023 World Architecture Festival INSIDE Best Public Building Interior for Phase 2. Currie & Brown provided full cost management services for both Phase 1 and 2, to expand the Photography Centre creating the largest space in the UK dedicated to a permanent photography collection.
Julie Urquhart, Associate Director for Cost Management at Currie & Brown, comments: “We have enjoyed working with the V&A team over the past eight years, supporting them to deliver on their ambitious designs whilst safeguarding their budget on many of their capital projects. We are really pleased to be chosen to collaborate for a further framework period and relish the challenge of delivering projects in such a prestigious environment”.
