Currie & Brown joins the UK International Healthcare Management Association (UKIHMA)

We have joined UKIHMA’s special interest group (SIG) of healthcare infrastructure experts to share our project management, cost management and advisory expertise.

Currie & Brown has become a member of the UK International Healthcare Management Association (UKIHMA), a national membership health sector organisation, established to provide expert, integrated healthcare solutions to clients around the world.

The prestigious network is a place where NHS specialists, academics and private sector professionals collaborate. Together they work with organisations providing health services in emerging and established markets, in need of expert guidance and innovative thinking.

We have joined UKIHMA’s special interest group (SIG) of healthcare infrastructure experts to share our project management, cost management and advisory expertise.

At a time when global healthcare projects are facing significant challenges, there is an acute need for fresh thinking and innovation. Inflation, skilled labour shortages and supply chain issues are all placing pressure on projects. Meanwhile, demographic change, ambitious sustainability targets and rapid digitisation are adding new layers of complexity to schemes.

We will be drawing on our extensive experience working on cutting-edge healthcare facilities to help clients around the world navigate challenges and achieve their project goals. This includes our work on The Monklands Replacement Project – Scotland’s first net zero carbon and digital hospital – and the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, set to be Dubai’s first integrated, comprehensive cancer hospital.

Helen Pickering, Global Head of Healthcare at Currie & Brown, says: “Our membership of the UKIHMA underscores our commitment to driving positive change in the healthcare sector globally. As part of the network, we will help foster a culture of collaboration within the industry, supporting our collective ability to deliver future-fit healthcare environments.

“We look forward to sharing our expertise and developing innovative solutions that improve efficiency, enhance patient outcomes and set new benchmarks for excellence across healthcare projects.”

Andy Ward, Co-chair of UKIHMA, says: “UKIHMA’s roots are in infrastructure, so in our 10th year of existence we are delighted to welcome Currie & Brown as a member. Currie & Brown’s reach, expertise and scale will increase our ability to address local and regional health challenges, to make healthcare around the world better. Our values as a member-led, not for profit convening space are Collaboration, Innovation, Integrity, Excellence and People, all factors Currie & Brown resonates with.”
