140 Wales Farm Road
140 Wales Farm Road is a development constructed by Imperial College London at a key entrance point to the Park Royal Opportunity Area in North Acton, London.

Our role
Currie & Brown provided full cost management services for Imperial College. This included feasibility studies to maximise value, option costs on sustainability solutions, lifecycle costing, procurement strategy advice and benchmarking.
From inception, the client had a defined budget for the development, for which we created an elemental cost model. We then agreed the assumed specification with the client before working closely with the design team to ensure they understood the cost parameters for their elements and designed within budget.
We worked with the client to understand their objectives and develop the most effective strategy to deliver them. We undertook a study to determine if a modular solution would be the most effective methodology to deliver the scheme. The design generally suited a modular solution, but because the client expected changes to be made that were influenced by other stakeholders, the more effective solution was a traditional methodology, which was able to incorporate the changes that were made later in the programme without affecting the completion date.
