Akyra Manor Chiang Mai hotel
The Akyra Manor Chiang Mai hotel was created to fill a niche in a market saturated by Lanna-style resorts but lacking a hip, urban hotel with exceptionally spacious suites and a level of privacy and style previously unknown in the area.
The location is in the new neighbourhood of Nimman Haemin, a precinct awash with art, boutiques, coffee shops and bars and restaurants.
The building is a five-star, 30-key all-suite luxury hotel, with 23 suites at 610ft2 and seven larger suites at a capacious 1,050ft2 created around a courtyard-within-a-room concept. It has already been accepted as a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member and received the award for Best Interior Design and runner-up on Best Architectural Design Award from Asia Property Awards 2015.
Currie & Brown was appointed to provide cost, project and construction management services for this new hotel development.
We helped the client achieve the architect’s design intent by managing multiple direct packages such as imported sanitary ware, façade materials, the façade installation package, aluminium and glazing and interior design works. Our value engineering process also assisted in reducing the project costs.
