Bickleigh Down eco village

The ZEDfactory has developed a reputation for pioneering developments with the goal of mitigating carbon footprints.

Bickleigh Down was a pilot project that explored the possibility of developing approximately seven acres of land near Plymouth as a new eco village made up of residential property and commercial space.

Our role

Currie & Brown was commissioned to provide quantity surveying, cost planning and construction design and management co-ordinator services for the project.

We helped the client refine their scope by providing realistic cost estimates for the initial design options. The goal of the pilot project was to produce sustainable homes that have no carbon footprint, and to ensure that the completed development was affordable in comparison to the general housing market.
