Data Centre Dublin
The development is a 12,000m² new generation data centre with a capacity of circa 40MW, and a facility over two floors, which established a new benchmark in data centre facilities globally.
The site required the demolition of a building, removal of tarmacadam surfacing and defunct services. Asbestos removal was carried out as part of the demolition works. The building contained a live substation which was demolished, while a new unit substation was built to provide MV power outside of the site constraints.
A 3.0+ metre-high security fence, along with a confidential intruder detection system, was included. The newly built campus is connected to the data centre campus by a surrounding roadway and ramp network. Extensive landscaping works were completed to the business park's requirements, including planting a large tree line to the front of the campus.
