Data Centre Madrid
Currie & Brown is working on the construction of a new shell and core data centre in two-storey blocks, including its fit-out with a capacity of c.40MW.
The buildings are typically 25,000-30,000m² and operate on a ‘parent and child’ basis. The project requires complex phasing and sequencing to connect to the plant and infrastructure as the phases are built.
Our role
The works consist of front-end estimating from concept design and managing the estimating and cost control until the award of the contractor. We are managing the tender process from a cost perspective, reviewing and agreeing costs associated with civil, structural, architectural and MEP services.
We are also managing the post-contract cost control services through the administration of the GMP contract to the agreement of the final account. Alongside this we will benchmark the final account costings against a global portfolio of projects to assess cost trends in each region and help reduce the overall project capex.
