The luxury hotel complex known as “Hotel Danieli” is located in Riva Degli Schiavoni, on the waterfront of Venice’s Laguna, Italy. The asset is one of the most iconic hotels of the city, world widely recognized as a symbol of elegance and prestige, and just a few steps away from St Mark’s Square.
The hotel complex consists of three different buildings interconnected by covered bridges: Danieli Excelsior, the most recent building, dating back to 1948 and located next to Palazzo delle Prigioni; Dandolo, with its 14th-century origins, the most ancient and famous building; and Casa Nova, dating back to 1800 and connected to Dandolo by an aerial passageway above Rio del Vin.
On the top floor of Danieli Excelsior, there is a panoramic terrace which offers spectacular views of Bacino San Marco and islands. The interior of Dandolo is neo-Gothic with many references to Moorish and Oriental styles, the central element of the composition is the main atrium, dominated by the staircase and galleries.
Inside there is a rich collection of artworks, antique furniture, precious antiques, and chandeliers made in Murano Glass. After refurbishment, the asset will be included in Four Season’s portfolio and the interior design will be developed by PYR (Pierre-Yves Rochon).
Currie & Brown was appointed by the Client King Street Capital Management L.P. and Starwood Capital to provide Red Flag Report, Technical Due Diligence and Project Monitoring for the Hotel Danieli.
