Hotwalls Studios

Hotwalls Studios

Hotwalls Studios (formerly known as the ARTches) was a project to transform the arches of the former Point Battery and Barracks into 13 art studio spaces.

The site was reconfigured with new glass walls to provide natural light and open the workspaces up to the public. The development also features a deli-style eatery with a terrace overlooking the Solent and the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour from the adjacent Round Tower.

Our role

Currie & Brown was selected to provide cost planning services for the project.

Our experience of working with historic structures and listed buildings ensured that English Heritage's requirements were catered for within the costs. As we had also recently worked with the same design team on a different historic building, communication between all parties flowed smoothly.
