Incubator building, Porton Science Park
Porton Science Park is a ten-acre development augmenting the Porton Down Science Campus in south Wiltshire. Completed in 2017, phase one saw the construction of a brand-new incubation centre with grow-on space totalling 4,084m2.
The state-of-the-art building houses laboratory-based small to medium enterprises, with dedicated grow-on space allowing developed companies to expand operations. The building is specifically designed for the life sciences sector, allowing for access to specialist equipment and technical expertise as well as facilitating collaborative research between businesses and the wider research community in Wiltshire.
The building was designed to achieve the highest possible energy efficiency and sustainability ratings.
Our role
Currie & Brown provided cost management services and acted as employer’s agent, from stage two concept design through to practical completion.
