Jean Bishop Integrated Care Centre Facility

The Jean Bishop Integrated Care Centre was designed to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and transform care for the elderly in Hull.

The centre provides a range of day services for people over the age of sixty-five, enabling them to remain independent and in their own homes for as long as possible. The centre is named after Jean Bishop, a longstanding ambassador and fundraiser for Age UK locally.

In addition, the facility houses services provided by Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) including a fire appliance, health-led Hull FIRST (Falls Intervention Response Safety Team) and specially trained fire personnel who will support community safety and rehabilitation programmes.

Our role

Currie & Brown provided cost management, project management and employer’s agent services on behalf of Hull Citycare, a public-private partnership, whose largest single shareholder is the NHS.
