Delivering affordable homes for Newham
London, UK
The 29,000m2 GFA Kai Tak development has a total of 500 residential units across four domestic buildings (three high-rise and one low-rise) along with a two-storey retail unit.
Constructed as part of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA)'s 'Flat-for-Flat Scheme', it provides domestic owner-occupiers affected by the URA's redevelopment projects with an alternative option to cash compensation.
The development has won the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC)'s Grand Award 2016 in the Completed Buildings - New Residential Building category.
Currie & Brown was appointed by the URA as cost consultants on this project.
