New Jersey superfund remediation

New Jersey superfund remediation

A 435-acre site in Bridgewater, New Jersey requires various types of environmental remediation executed over a multi-year programme.

Consistent with a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Record of Decision, projects within this scope include:

  • Engineered protective covers over a substantial portion of the site
  • A new groundwater treatment facility and all associated conveyance piping and well infrastructure for extraction and re-injection to the site
  • Soil stabilisation and solidification projects

Our role

Currie & Brown has been appointed to provide project controls services for ongoing site management and operations as well as remediation efforts.

With a focus on project cost and schedule control, our team has helped reduce both risks and costs for the site operations and remediation efforts by introducing formal project controls standards, reporting cycles and monitoring techniques. Our knowledge of procurement protocols has ensured the use of appropriate contracting practices at the appropriate time depending on design/construction information and the schedule. We have also assisted the client to drive down the year-on-year spend on ongoing site operation and maintenance costs through increased efficiencies and optimisation.
