United Christian Hospital

The project comprises the renovation and construction of a new extension for the United Christian Hospital complex in Kwun Tong.

The scope includes the demolition of three hospital blocks and an annex block to prepare for the construction of a new ambulatory block and an extension to one of the original hospital blocks. The areas will be converted and renovated for improvement, expansion and rationalisation of clinical and supporting services.

The expanded hospital will provide a 20 per cent increase in hospital beds, a 120 per cent increase in outpatient consulting rooms, new ambulatory care facilities, an oncology centre and an expanded accident and emergency capability.

Our role

Currie & Brown has been selected to act as cost management consultants for the project. This includes full quantity surveying services from the preliminary design stage until completion of the project and settlement of the final account.

We closely monitored the cost of the building at different stages and improved efficiency through better time management.
