Several private British companies have joined the UK’s Department for International Trade’s initiative to facilitate talks between the Mexican authorities and British companies to deliver collaborative initiatives between the two countries.
Currie & Brown, together with another five British companies and a British university with a presence in Mexico, has formed a strategic alliance with the UK to support the health system in Mexico during the coronavirus pandemic. So far, the alliance has focused efforts on reducing the levels of contagion in Mexico, strengthening hospital and health systems and supporting the Mexican government with innovative tools.
Currie & Brown’s Mexico office is providing strategic solutions to Toluca Regional Hospital, advising them on how to implement an effective reconfiguration and organisation of medical and operational spaces in coronavirus-critical areas.
Currie & Brown has also structured and supervised combined investment schemes across a wide range of sectors, including health, transport, culture, water, energy and penitentiary infrastructure in Mexico.
Miguel Donovan, director in Currie & Brown’s Mexico office, said: “We are proud to be able to support the Mexican government through the coronavirus pandemic. Hospitals across the country are stretched, and we are helping them to maximise their functionality and capacity throughout the crisis.”
