Our role: making vision reality

We were appointed as Project Management Consultant (PMC) on this AED 1 billion project.

Our brief? To manage complexity. Coordinate stakeholders. Solve problems before they start. And bring every element into balance, from planning and performance to health, safety, and sustainability.

We provided strategic leadership, integrated coordination and risk prevention.

Building clarity into every step

Clear communication drives progress.

So we introduced structured weekly meetings, a detailed RACI matrix, and open forums for all project stakeholders. We brought teams together to talk about everything from quality assurance to procurement and risk.

Why? Because alignment means fewer surprises and faster, smarter decisions. Keeping everyone informed helped to keep project delivery on track.

Fixing challenges before they grow

Every major project comes with pressure points.

We tackled issues early and often. Our team:

  • Set up a robust risk register
  • Led bi-weekly stakeholder meetings
  • Guided conflict resolution with professionalism and integrity

All of this meant risks were managed while building trust between different project teams.

A showcase of sustainable thinking

The Sustainable City Yas Island is a first for Abu Dhabi.

Powered by solar, connected by battery-powered buggies and bikes, and surrounded by open green spaces, it sets a new benchmark for urban living.

Residents benefit from:

  • Up to 50% energy savings
  • Car-free walkability
  • Biodomes for community farming
  • A central green spine, equestrian centre, and wellness spaces

All backed by a 5 Pearl Estidama rating, which is Abu Dhabi’s highest sustainability standard.

Adding value beyond delivery

We didn’t just manage the process. We elevated it.

Our proactive oversight added value at every level, including health & safety, cost control, sustainability and stakeholder satisfaction:

  • Thorough HSE reviews and assessments with site support
  • Over 5 million safe manhours with zero Lost Time Incidents
  • Precise tracking of budgets and forecasts
  • Over 99% of construction waste< recycled or salvaged
  • Transparent updates, clear timelines, and shared ownership
  • Reliable stakeholder management

A project built on unity

"By fostering a spirit of unity, integrity, and mutual respect, we ensured all parties stayed aligned with the project’s goals. The result? A collaborative environment that delivered innovative solutions—and sustained momentum." Currie & Brown PMC – HSE Team

Leading the way in sustainable urbanism

Due for first handovers in Q4 2025, this development is more than a residential scheme. It’s a blueprint for a greener, more resilient future, all fully aligned with Aldar’s Net Zero 2050 vision.

And Currie & Brown is proud to be at its heart.
