Currie & Brown wins several high-profile infrastructure projects

Following the award of a number of contracts with Network Rail and Transport for London (TfL), Currie & Brown’s infrastructure team goes from strength to strength.

Currie & Brown has been placed on two lots of Network Rail’s Wales and Western framework to provide commercial management and commercial assurance and auditing on the upgrade of stations for Crossrail West.

Network Rail Scotland has appointed Currie & Brown to provide project management, project controls and commercial management on upcoming projects in the country.

Most recently, the Currie & Brown team has been appointed to provide project management support to Network Rail’s HS2 asset protection and optimisation (ASPRO) team.

It was also announced earlier this month that Currie & Brown was a winner on TfL’s professional services framework for project and programme management, having been placed on the five lots it bid for out of the seven available. The framework lots are service-specific and can be used by TfL, the Greater London Authority and all London boroughs for upcoming projects. This complements the company’s earlier wins on TfL’s commercial services framework, to provide estimating services, quantity surveying and claims management.

The building surveying team has also been successful in securing the contract to provide services on two external repair projects to Victoria Arcade and the buildings which make up Victoria Island. The team will provide building and quantity surveying, cost management and principal designer services on the refurbishment of an office and the adaptation of retail spaces ready for letting.

To support the existing UK infrastructure team, Currie & Brown has made several new senior hires. The London office has appointed Muslims in Rail co-founder Nasir Khan as director, digital railway specialist Derek Patterson as director and Matt Holgado as associate director. Stephen Jackson joins the Birmingham office as director to boost Currie & Brown’s infrastructure team in the Midlands, while Dan Moore joins the Bristol office as associate.
