Currie & Brown appoints new head of commercial cost management for London and South East

Currie & Brown is delighted to announce that Gill Breen has been appointed as head of commercial cost management for London and the South East.
Gill joins Currie & Brown from her role as director for Gleeds cost management, where she was also head of the hospitality sector and a member of the senior leadership team. Gill’s 30-year career in the construction industry has seen her work on some incredible projects across the world, from the King Abdullah Sports City to the Guildhall Yard East, which was built upon the remains of the Roman Amphitheatre of Londinium.
Commenting on the appointment, Nick Gray, Currie & Brown’s chief operations officer for UK and Europe, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to bring Gill to Currie & Brown at what is an exciting time in the expansion of the business. She is an experienced business leader with excellent commercial acumen and extensive knowledge of the commercial property, hospitality, and real estate markets. With a strong passion for sustainability and carbon net zero targets, Gill is committed to the continuous development of the industry and has played a strong role in thought leadership, having articles published in Construction Manager and Building magazine on topics such as sustainability, the private rental sector and BIM.
